For 2005 Saab introduces its first Sport Utility Vehicle the 9-7X. Built on the same GM platform as the Trailblazer the 9-7X is available in two models: Linear and Arc. The Linear receives its power from an in-line six-cylinder engine producing 275 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque. The Arc gets a bump up in power with a 5.3L V8 engine that generates 300 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque. Standard features on the Linear include heated leather seats, 18-inch alloy wheels, six-disc Bose audio system, XM satellite radio and OnStar communications system. The Arc adds HID headlights, headlight washers, and adjustable pedals. Safety features on both models include dual-stage airbags, passenger sensing system, rollover sensing system, and head curtain air bags.
