Description

The Mazda RX-8 coupe returns for 2005 with little change. The RENESIS 13B rotary engine produces 238hp mated to a six-speed manual transmission or 197-hp mated to the four-speed automatic transmission. The limited production Shinka Edition is also offered. The manual transmission models are equipped with sport-tuned suspension, limited slip differential, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The RX-8 features no B-pillars and rear hinged half doors that allows for easier access to the two rear seats. An optional Sport Package is available on both models and includes fog lights, dynamic stability control, traction control, HID headlights, and upgraded brakes. The Touring Package contains Bose radio system, automatic day/night mirror, garage door opener, and moon roof.
