The M-Class returns for 2006 completely redesigned. The ML350 and ML500 AWD return 5.9 inches longer, 2.8 inches wider and 0.4 inches lower. A new double wishbone front suspension and four link rear, and an optional height adjustable air suspension are new for this year. The ML350 features a 3.5L V-6 engine producing 268 hp and 258 ft-lbs of torque while the ML500 features a 5.0L V-8 engine boasting 304 hp and 339 ft-lbs of torque. Both engines are paired to a standard seven speed automatic transmission with the permanent four wheel drive system. The four wheel traction control system with downhill driving aid and hill start assist are added functions. New interior enhancements include new instrument panel, multi function steering wheel and improved spaciousness for all five seating positions.
