Description

For 2006, Hyundai introduces the all-new and larger Sonata. The new Sonata boasts a full complement of standard safety features, including six airbags, active front headrests, ABS, and for the first time in the mid-size sedan segment, standard Electronic Stability Control (ESC). Engine choices include two new all-aluminum engines; a 2.4-liter from the new Hyundai/ Mitsubishi/ DaimlerChrysler global four-cylinder engine, and a 3.3L V-6 rated at 235hp and 226 lb-ft of torque. A five-speed manual transmission is offered only on the four-cylinder models while a four-speed automatic is available on all models. The Accessory Group 5 on the GLS consists of a HomeLink transmitter, automatic day/night mirror, power moon roof, and power drivers seat adjuster.
