Honda's base sport vehicle enters 2008 now available in the two trim: Base and CR (Club Racer). The S2000 continues to be powered by a 237-hp 2.2L VTEC engine coupled to a torque-sensing six-speed manual transmission. The new CR boasts a track-oriented suspension, improved steering, exterior ground effects, a sport muffler, a removable hardtop, suede seating surfaces, weight-reduction feature deletions, and ultra-high performance tires. Standard equipment across the board includes anti-lock brakes, vehicle stability assist, a drive-by-wire throttle system, independent double wishbone suspension, and an AM/FM stereo with CD player and eight-speakers. New for this year is a standard tire-pressure monitoring system.
