After it introduction last year, Dodge brings back the Nitro in several trims: SXT, SLT, and R/T, each offered in 2WD or 4WD configurations. This mid-size SUV is powered by a 210-hp 3.7L V6 engine (SXT and SLT) or a 260-hp 4.0L V6 engine (R/T). Standard features across the board include anti-lock brakes, side-impact airbags, and an electronic stability program. The higher trims add the Load n Go cargo floor feature, which slides 18 inches to provide easy loading and unloading of heavy cargo of up to 400 pounds. Available options on the Nitro include a DVD navigation system, a rear seat entertainment system, the UConnect communication system, a premium stereo with MP3 capability, and a satellite radio.
