After being completely redesigned in 2004, 5-Series returns with only minor changes. The line-up is comprised of four trims: 525i, 530i, 545i and 545i six-speed, which is now a no cost option. Revisions include enhanced passenger comfort, increased size for more passenger and trunk room, and an Active Front Steering System (AFS). The AFS also works with adaptive headlights that are controlled in conjunction with the angle of the steering wheel, yaw rate, and speed of the car. Also available on the 5-Series is the same Active Cruise Control as on the 7-Series. The system uses radar technology to maintain a safe distance at highway speeds. Other options include Active Roll Stabilization and Run-flat Tires.
