Description

For 2005 the Acura RL get completely redesigned. The exterior and interior receive a face-lift, the engine gets a bump up in power, and a new all-wheel drive system is introduced. The 3.5-liter VTEC V6 engine now generates 300 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque (up from 225 hp and 231 lb-ft of torque from last year). A new Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive System (SH-AWD) distributes torque not only to the front and rear wheels but also between the left and right rear wheels. The navigation system now uses the XM NavTraffic service to display up-to-the-minute traffic information where available. The RL features interior appointments such as Bose 10-speaker sound system, keyless access system, and Bluetooth enabled HandsFreeLink mobile phone interface.
